Molly Koernke, a Grand Rapids, MI native, has always been passionate about building businesses. At age ten, she launched "Molly's Market" in front of her grandparent's cherry farm. Through her tenacity, super cool flyers, and indifference to the word "no," she grew what was previously a lonely, side-of-the-road fruit stand to a prosperous, well-known market. She's been hooked on growth ever since.
She graduated from Wake Forest University and Michigan State University's Eli Broad Graduate School of Management. After undergrad, she moved back to her hometown to work for a boutique consulting firm while she grew her savings and dreamed of earning her MBA. Two years later, her dream came true.
After graduate school, Molly moved to the home of breakfast tacos, unlimited beer, and Matthew McConaughey: Austin, TX. She worked at Dell for almost four years. Her results earned her a promotion, awards, and even a meeting with Michael Dell.
A medium-sized SaaS-based software company recruited her away from Dell. As the Director of Marketing, she led the go-to-market strategy, product marketing, demand and lead generation, and digital marketing for three product lines. Her work grew product line revenue by 15%+ year-over-year.
Molly prides herself on helping other women succeed. She led IT is Not Just for Geeks—a program that showed 400+ middle school girls in Austin why working in technology is cool—for two and a half years at Dell. The best part of leading that program was being able to openly admit she has a female crush on Marissa Mayer (and Sheryl Sandberg...and Angela Ahrendts). She also blogs regularly on being a woman in technology.
Outside of work, Molly is passionate about finding the best brunch place in town, cycling indoors at fancy studios, and visiting beautiful Lake Michigan whenever possible.
